Season’s Greetings from the Living Inclusion Network!

As 2024 comes to a close, we at the Living Inclusion Network (LIN) want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you, our incredible members, for making this year so impactful. Together, we’ve built a vibrant community that spans now 654+ members from over 50 countries, united by a shared vision of creating a more inclusive world.

This year marked a significant milestone for us—our first anniversary as a network! Reflecting on all we have accomplished, it is clear that your contributions have been pivotal to LIN’s success.

Highlights of 2024

  1. Four Inspiring Events

Over the past year, LIN organized four well-attended events, each providing a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration. These events covered crucial topics related to inclusion, showcased innovative solutions, and celebrated the resilience and creativity of our community. Special thanks go to our remarkable speakers who brought their expertise and passion to these gatherings!

You couldn’t join or want to refresh your memory? Look into our event recaps:

  • Inclusion Café 1 (March) on cognitive accessibility
  • Annual Living Inclusion Forum (June), looking into the topics crisis, employment, and education
  • Inclusion Café 2 (September) on political participation and elections without barriers
  • Inclusion Café 3 (December) on the Global Disability Summit and innovative projects

2. Four Dynamic Newsletters

Our quarterly newsletters became a key medium for staying connected, sharing stories from our community and highlighting, and spreading inspiration. From spotlighting members’ initiatives to recommending upcoming opportunities and events, the newsletters serve as a bridge for ideas and action. We are also proud of the voices our network empowered by talking with them and in our OPD Voices section of the newsletter. You can catch up with all articles in our newsletters in the Newsroom. We are grateful to all members that contributed to the success of our newsletters.

3. Growing Our Global Community

The diversity within our network has been one of our greatest strengths. With members from across the globe and with very different backgrounds – NGOs, academia, multilateral organisations, OPD, the private sector or the media (to name just a few) LIN has become a true reflection of inclusion in action. Your ideas, stories, and shared experiences make LIN a hub for meaningful exchange and growth. If you are looking for a specific contact or partnership, please let us know!

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we enter 2025, we are excited to continue building on this momentum:

  • Upcoming Events: We look forward to hosting even more engaging events, starting with the first Inclusion Café in spring 2025.
  • New Initiatives: Stay tuned for new opportunities to collaborate, learn, and lead within LIN. You want to share your activities with the others? Get in touch with us!
  • Continued Growth and Enhancement: With your support, we aim to expand our reach, increase engagement, and amplify the voices of our members worldwide.

Thank You for Your Support!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this year a success: Our speakers, contributors, and most importantly, our members. Your dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind LIN’s achievements.

As we embrace the new year, let us carry forward the spirit of inclusion, collaboration, and learning. Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous start to 2025!
